The Lady Barkly sailed for Golden Bay last evening. The Kennedy was signalled when we went to press, having again been driven back by the heavy weather. The Charles Edward sailed 'for Motueka and West Corst ports at 7 am. to-day, but as she returned this afternoon we presume that Captain Whitwell has thought it undesirable to face the rough weather that is prevailing outside. The Murray is still detained at Westport, whence she reports " frightful weather, heavy sea, continuous rain." The Wallace arrived from Wanganui today. She made a trip to Motueka this afternoon, and will sail for Wellington at 5 p.m. on Monday. A large topsail schooner painted red was lying at Totaranui yesterday when the Sisters passed. The barque Woodbine is now lying at Totaranui; She made sail yesterday morning, but came back again in the afternoon. A steamer was seen standing from Totaranui towards the Spit on Thursday evening. The barque Tasso took on board 100 tons of cargo yesterday, and was towed to the outer anchorage by the Lady Barkly in the evening. She will wait for a change in the ■weather before making sail. The Torea has been engaged lately in running between Picton and Durville's Island. She is now at the former port, and will remain there for a week. ft appears that the accident to the steamer Albion the other day is not so serious as was at first imagined. The chief engineer expected to repair the damage in three days. The steamer Wanganui arrived at Wellington the other day for the purpose of having the Rangatira's old boiler put in her The boilers of the Grafton which are being taken out of her piecemeal at Wellington are now nearly out. The engines in course of construction for her are being pushed on but it will be five months before the Grafton is ready for sea. The Wellington sailed for Picton and Wellington at 8.30 this morning, and should reach Wellington late this evening. She has one passenger to land at Durville's Island She leaves the Empire City on Monday afternoon, will arrive here on Tuesday morning and return to Wellington via Picton by the same tide at 10 a.m.
