Plevna is completely invested. The Daily News states that it is amply provisioned. Ihe Russian Government invite subscriptions for a five per cent loan of fifteen million pounds.
General Skobelotf on the eveningof the 9th, m a dense fog captured the heights of Plevna, near the Loftcha Road, and during the night Hie Russians entrenched themselves. The Turks made two desperate attempts to dislodge them.
The troops destined to cross the Balkans, regardless of Plevna, are marching towards Tiroora.
It is reported that Kara is well provisioned.

At the Colonial bank dinner, Sir Julius Yogel reviewed the history or New Zealand, and warmly extolled its advantages. A New Zealand Land Agency Company, with a capital of one million, is announced. The wool sales show a fall compared with last series.
