AGRICULTURAL SHOW.
To the Editor oi? tub ' Evening Mail.' Sir.— Will you kindly allow me space to say a few words, respecting the decision of the Judges if (I may call them so) in Class A No. 2 for best draught entires open to all comers. I have had over 40 years experience in heavy draught horses, and have never before witnessed such a barefaced thing as I did yesterday either in Australia or New Zealand. What I allude to is Prince of the Valley having taken the first prize against such horses as Sir Walter Scott and British General, not while being able to beat either of them in one single point. The Judges also failed to give satisfaction to the public in one or two other cases, and that is the reason that I did not show my imported colt under 3 year?. I may also state that my horse young Sir Colin beat Princp of the Valley last year, and Sir Colin would scarcely bear the slightest comparison with Sir Walter Scott or British General. If the Judges would inform me their reason for making such an error, I would be greatly obliged. I have imported a great many draught horses to these shores, but we do not want to import any more horses, but we certainly want to import Judges. I am, &c, John Lock. Waimea-street, Nov. 10, 1877.
