. , Stdnet, Thursday. A vessel, which has arrived at Cooktown from Papua, reports a great gold discovery on the north-west coast. She has specimens oa board. Mr T. W. Tucker has been returned for West Sydney. The Premier was defeated. Messrs Merriman, Cameron, O'Connor, and Harris were also elected. Adelaide, Thursday. Mr Morgan joins Mr Boucant iu forming a Ministry. Melbourne, Thursday. The Assembly has passed the education vote.
