A movement is on foot to establish a proprietary school to give a high class education. It is proposed to form a company and issue one hundred £100 shares, and as soon as fifty are subscribed a preliminary meeting will be held and the necessary arrangements made to obtain a site for the school, affording a proper play ground, within two miles of the city. The head master is to be selected in England, and the salary will be £700 a-year. A deliberate but unsuccessful attempt has been made to throw the train off the Hue at Burnside.
