CORRESPONDENCE.
To the Editor of the 'Evening Mail.' Sis -I understand there will be a meeting of the Queen Bee Relief Committee held this evening to decide upon the manner of - disposing of the surplus of the fund; if it be competent for the Committee to do so without calling a meeting of the subscribers, I would suggest that they request Mr Taylor, who gallantly and at great risk started in hi 3 unfinished yacht in search of the wrecked passengers, to build a strong, useful sailing boat, which after securing an appropriate name may be presented to tbe Maoris, who so kindly received and entertained those we had monrded as lost, and who so magnanimously refused anything in the shape of a money reward.— l am, &c, .._ , Sdbschibee. Nelson, Sspfc. 27, 1877. [Our correspondent is rather late in making his suggestion, a 9 the Committee met this afternoon.— Ed. N.E.M.J
