LOSS OF THE SHIP AVALA^CHe! NINETY-SIX LIVES LOST.' Wellington, Friday. The Government have just received the f ollowiug tele jratn from the xlgent-General :— London, Sept. 12. The Avalanche, for Wellington, came into collision in the Channel, and immediately sunk. There were ninety-nine souls on board, all of whom were lost except three of the crew. Will wire to-morrow the names of the returning colonists who were lost.
