Mr Thomas reports produce prices as follows:— Adelaide flour, £23; Colonial do., £18 to £\8 10s; oats, 4s ; bran, is; wheat, 4s 6d; hams, 9£d; bacon, 9d; cheese, 7(1; maize, 4s 6d; pollard, 7s 6d; potatoes, £3. , Friday. . The Taranaki sailed for Nelson and North at 9 a.m. Passengers— Mrs Stidolph, Miss Stidolph, Mrs Knowles, Miss White, Messrs Willan and Clark. A fisherman has brought word that two fishing boats were coming through the Straits yesterday from Port Underwood when one of the boats capsized, and the erew7cousistingor "three men, disappeared. At' the time of the accident the boats were I about a mile apart. The other boat sailed up to the place where they saw the boat capsize, but could not find the slightest trace of boat or men. She then made for the Pilot Station, and remained there' for the night, coming into Wellington this morning. Chkistchdhch, Thursday. There is little or no good wheat in the farmers' hands, and the market assumes a firmer tone. Flour stocks are light, and millers have limited grinding stocks. Wheat, 6s 9d to 7s for best, and 6s to 6s tid for second quality; oats, 3s 6d, market firm; barley, dull, at 3s 6dto 4s 3s; flour, £17 to I £18, low stocks; bran easier; cheese, 6£d; hams and bacon, 8d in cloth, heavy sales reported. Dunedin, Thursday: Mr Driver reports:— Eat cattle, 27s 6d per lOOlbs; sheep, 255. Wheat prime, 7a to 7s 4d; oats, 3s 3d; to 3s 6d; barley, 2s 4d to 3s 6d; barley, 2s 4d to 3s 9d. Mr Bradshaw reports.-— Bank of New Zealand shares, £22 ss; Colonial, £2 4s 6d; National Insurance, £1 13s 6d; Standard, 20s 6d; South British, new issue, £3 15s; Mosgiel, £3 5s 4d.
