Auckland, Wednesday. Morris Hytnan, partner in a wholesale business firm, was remanded on a charge of forging the name of the firm to eight transfers of shares. Great interest was felt here in the race between tlie old Sydney trader Hero and the Union Company's Rotorua. There was a considerable amount of betting on the race.
