- ihe case of the Riwaka S.N. Company against Fletcher, late master of the Maid of Italy, occupied the Court the whole of yesterday afternoon, the legal arguments being exceedingly lengthy. Judgment was reserved until a future day. The nomination of candidates to fill the vacahcy caused by the resignation by Mr J. A. Harley of his seat in the City Council will take place on Thursday, the i9th inst., and the polling, if necessary, on the Ist of August. Messrs. Sharp and Pickering will sell by auction at their rooms on Monday next, the
