MOTUEKA MAGISTRATES' COURT.
Wednesday, June .20. [Before C. Parker, B. Macmahon, F. Jellicoe, and H. A. Tarrant, Esqs., J.J.P.] Larbikinism. James Eginton, William Cassidy, and Henry Jones, aged respectively 18, 17, and 14 years, were charged with unlawfully removing the fencing of Mr Boyce, of Motueka. Mr Bunny appeared for the defendants, and raised an objection to the information as being informal, and after argument the Bench allowed the complainant to withdraw it, and a fresh one was then taken. After hearing the evidence, the Bench dismissed the case with costs. Civil Cases. Allen v. Macnamara. — Action to recover £10. Mr Bunny appeared for the defendant. This case occupied a considerable time, being one in which several complicated accounts between the parties had to be settled. Eventually judgment was given for the plaintiff for 1 4s and costs. Ten other small debt cases were disposed of. *^ The following cases were adjourned for a month:— Nodeh v. Askew, claim for £33 155, and Goodman V. Emani, a native, for £6 16s 6d.
