The parties, it appeared, are neighbours in Dovedale, aud defendant's dog had killed some of the complainant's sheep, uponwbicuhe and his son took to her house a bill for the same. She threw the bill down, slammed the door in his face, and a minute later came out and threw a big' stone at him, striking him a severe blow on the back" of the head and stunning him.
