The Permanent Building Society of Nelson ! appears to be in a most flourishing condition, a notification which appears in our advertising columns stating that the profit on the ; existing shares for the past half-year is at the rate of 9 per cent per annum. The low rate of interest (Z-J per cent) charged to members is an attraction to those who re- , quire a small amount of capital to join the Society which few of them will be able to resist.
