In our telegraphic column will be found the names of those who have consented to form a new Ministry. We presume that Major Atkinson is to be< a member of it, although his name is not mentioned in the telegram. No Ministerial Statement was made, and the House adjourned until Monday evening. A scratch match at football will take place to-morrow afternoon. The members of the Interprovincial team are particularly requested to attend. A meeting of the team will take place after the game. Theee was a fine display of meat in Mr Kerr's shop this afternoon, including some very fine young lambs, which are quite a rarity so early in the season. A magnificent bullock lately arrived from Tarndale testified to the richness of the pasture in that district. The members of the Naval Brigade are requested to meet at their boat shed to-morrow afternoon at three o'clock, when a course of instruction in boat drill will be gone through. We understand that the Rev. Father Garin being obliged to clear off the debt on the new orphanage, and being no longer able to have recouse to the usual means for aid such as art unions and the like, intends to deliver a lecture instead, on a subject which must be both interesting and instructive to all, viz., certain interesting incidents connected with the establishment of the colony by the British Government in New Zealand; the war with the famous Heke; the burning of Kororareka at the Bay of Islands* some Maori customs, &c. As the rev. lecturer was an eye witness of the facts about to be related during his stay in the North Island, all these events will be explained with truth and accuracy. We trust that with the charitable object he has in view his efforts will be crowned with success.
