A lecttjke on the Local Option Licensing Bill will be delivered at the Temperance Hall on Monday evening by Mr W. Price, the Rev J." Leighton in the chair.
Sweepstakes for tickets in the Nelson monster spring sweep will be drawn at M'Gfee's Hotel this evening at eight o'clock.
Theee will be a special sermon tomorrow evening at half-past six at the Hardy-street Congregational Church Sunday-school. attempt to float a Company to carry on the Nelson Cloth Factory has proved a failure. A meeting of those interested was held last night, when Mr Scaife reported that he had not succeeded in getting a sufficient number of promises to take shares, and it was decided to allow the matter to drop.
