ARRIVAL OF THE CAMPERDOWN.
The flue ship Camperdown, 1437 tons, Captain Paton, arrived at tho outer anch >rage last night, after a splendid run ot 79 d.ys, from Gravesend, and 76 from Land's Knd. She brings 410 im_iigr-nt. for the ..llowing places : — Nelson. 36; Marlborough, 233; Auckland, 25; Westland, 93; Wellington, li; T-iranaki,7; Timaru, 6. Bhe was visited this morning by the Immigration and-Health Offi-ers, who found everything in fiis' -1.-Boj-der.and speakin high terms of the cle_n linens, ventilation, and general excellence of the arr_n#eu_en.B of the immigrants' quarters. The voyage was uneventful, there was very little eieknesi, and only one death, that of a married woman, named Mrs Mulholland. who di-^d suddenly Ihcee births occurred on the vojage. She brings the following cabin passengers for Nupier:— The Rev. T. E. Simcos, ot the diocese of Exeter, Mrs. Simcox and infant, and Miss Strutbers. All the passengers speak in the highest terms of the kindness and attention they received at the hands of Captain Paton and Dr. Booth, the latter of •whom was the surgeon of th. Mieh-tel Angelo ou her last trip to Nelson. The following a-Jdres-, signed by all the immigrants, was presented t j Dr. Booth tbis morning : — - To Dr. Booth, Surgeon Superintendent of the ship Cimperdown, Snt,— We, the undersigned immigrants, avail ourselves of this opportunity to express our satisfaction with the manner in which you performed the several duties devo'ving upon you ia your professional and official capacity as Surgeon Superintendent ot this ship during her voyage from Lon ion to Nelsoo, New Zda'and. And we Lei? you to accept our siicere thanks for the attention you have paid to the sick, and to the promotion of health and cleanliness, owing to which we have arrived in such excellent health, with only one de-ith h.ving occurred And also to the presecvat on of order aud regularity on bond.
