She will probably, sail to-morrow for Hokianga, where she will load timber for Australia. The TJnioa Company's s.s Bawea, Captain Wheeler, arrived in harbor this morning -tt 5 o'clock. She left Port Chalmers at 5.10 pm. on the 30th uit., and arrived at Lyttelton at 10*30 a.m. the following morning; left at 10 15 pm , and arrived at Wellington at 130 p.m. on the '-'nd instant; left at 1 p.m. on the 3rd, and arrived at Picton at 6 p.m.; left at 7.30 p.m. arming here as above. Passed the Bteamer Taranaki at 10 o'clock last evening. Light westerly winds were experienced as far aa Wellington, thence to arrival fresh southerly breeze. She sails North at 5 p.m. The Union 5.3. Company have fixed their tim.-table for July, the steamers juat purchased from the N.Z.S.S. Company being included. The arrangements are as follows : — The main coastal service between Dunedin and Manukau will be perfcrmel by the Hawea, Phoebe, Taupo, and Taranaki at intervals of from 3to 5 days. The Ladybird will run between Dunedin, Timaru. Akaroa, and Lyttelton weekly, alternating with the Beautiful Stir. The Maori will continue to perform the monthly service round the Middle Island, and the Samson still will run between Dunedin and Oamaru. The Wellington for the pre-ieut will take the Ladybird's place on the Tiimru and Akaroa line, until the latter is released from the Napier and East C >ast service by the completion of the alterations to tbe p.s. Rang.tira The Wellington then will relieve the Taranaki in the mam coastal work, when the latter will be laid up to receive her new boiler «nd compound engines.
