HOLDER'S COACH.
To the Editor op the 'Evening Mail.' Sir — The value of testimonials ig not sufficiently appreciated, as they are scatterei about too promiscuously. But I have one to propose through your columns which, because deserved, will carry its worth. I refer to Mr Francis Holder, who for eleven years bas been our chief link witb tbe country, and now finds himsftlf driven by the inexorub'e iron road out of our mi Ist altogether. His skill as a driver is unquestioned, tbere having only been one accident while he held tbe reins, owing to a flood in the then unbridg..d Wfi-iti River, and in that case he almost lost his own life in trying to save thatof a passenger. Further, nothing could exceed the courtesy with which he has ever treated everybody. Whatever may be the advantages of a smoother and more rapid journey to Foxbill, we shall aU miss the roach and the off leader. lam suro tbat Mr Holder is the man to value his fellow-eitizeus' psteem, if it be only expressed on a bit of parchment, and I doubt uot that if a testimonial letter were drawn up and left at one of the booksellers for signature many would take the trouble to call and sign it.— l am, &c, Viatok.
