Gallb, March 3. The Strathmore was wrecked on the Twelve Apostles Rocks, Crozet Island on the night of June 30. Uf the 88 souls on board 49 were lanueJ, the remainder were lost. Miss Hrnderso**. aDd five others, including Mr Henderson, died ashrre from exposure. Tha others subsisted miserably tor i?even months. Nothing was saved, the boats being lose The survivors were rescue i by the whaler Young Phoenix. One half were transhipped to the Sierra Morena. and landed at Galle on the 24th February. Messrs Bentley, Islam, Hood, Ward (•_), Standing, Wilson (2), Night. Lendi, and eight of the crew proceeded ia the whiler to Mauritius, and were there landed.
