By Cr. Pickering — Ih^t in order to conform ttrictly with the regulation laid down in pnrt X[, clause 20, of the Municipal CorpoiatioDs Act for the conduct of the business ot the Council?, all discussions on surveyors pnd other reports shall take "place in' committee, the chairman being cal.ed upon to leave the chair, so that members may have an opportuoi y of speaking more than omce without infringing any toie of Council. By Cr. Gray-— That the Harly-streefc sower be 'extended the whole lepgth of Hardy-street as far sb the hridgj over the. Maicai, and; a; pipe inserted of not less thaa 7 inches from the Maitai above tne Nile-street bridge, and, thereby ensuring a running ftrearat hrough the Bevreva, and obviate' the necessity. of reconstructing the Waimea newer, and keeping the mouth of the sewer clean of nbfcious waUer near the JPoet Office. : ! -•
