BATHING BASIN.

To the Editor op thb 'Evening Mail.' Sir—The bathing season is now on again, and still nothing has been done to make the baching basin secure from sharks, which is a great pity considering the whole could be done for about £15. The City Council promised last year to get an estimate of the cost and contribute half, but we must be content with the promise only, I fear, as nothing - further has been done. Would some public man call a meeting of those interested, and I am sure we should soon have a secure bathing hole second to none in New Zealand.—l am, &c, Bather.
