Sik — I observe in an pxtrnct quoted by you from the New Zealand Times in lugt evening's Mail on the meteorology of New Zealand lhat in March the rainfall was as follows : — At Bialey ten und ahalf inches, at Hokitika eleven and a half, and upwards of seventyseven Indus in Nelson. Will you allow rue to say that the rainfall in Nelson during the rr.onth of March, as registered and forwarded to the Director of Meteorological Stations, was 7*41 inchts, and not 77 inches as published .-r- 1 am, &c, Henky Clouston, Meteorological ."Registrar.
