The passengers drowned are Judge Wearing, Pellam (his associate), Whitby (Crown Solicitor), Dr Milner and wife and family, W. Durrant, Mackay, Cartwright, and son, W. Lloyd, W. Ester, Mr and Mrs Hart, Mr and Mrs Nation and child, Mrs Viggor, Mr end Mrs Hunt, Mr and Mrs Cotu and family, Mr Shorfcbridge, M. M'Knight Pleir, J. King, J.Pring, John S. M'Arthy, J. Mitchell Wells (editor of the Northern Territory Times), T, Pirns, Cameroa Radford, W. Tarbad, J. Kean, William Goulder, Sam Leden, Mackay, Stone, C. Peters, C. C'eve.J Cram, H. Hasfall Graham, H. Sarce, Thompson. Bhdeß, Glenißter, C. Fry, J. Newcombe, M'Callum, Fogarty, C Musgrave, J. Griffiths, Mackay, Ross, and ott ers who9e names are not remembered. The Townsville agent lias just com? into Port Dennison in the steamer Bunyip, chattered by the Government to search Jor Burvivors from the Gothenburg. She picked up three men off Holborn Island, -who report that the Gothenburg struck the reef when under ail sail and full steam. The cap'ain lightened the ship forward by filling: the casks; she swung of! and came broadside on the reef. Two toats were lowered with four men in eich, but the sea was too heavy to keep alo'geide, and they went astern and broke adriit, and reached Holborn Island. The vees 1 finally settled down in three fathoms of water. Two boats were capsized by ths ruth of passengers. The last time the lifeboat was seen she was driven to the fast of the reef, her stern split, and some men that were in her were drowned. Fourteen men were clinging to the masts btill Friday, when they succeeded in regaining one of the capsized boats Adelaide, March 5. Mr Todd has interrogated Bump, one of the rescued. There waa no confusion on board, and everything was done in order Up t> eleven o'clock the captain entertained hopes of gettirg the steamer off, atd after eleven preparations were made to supply the boats with provisions, tarpaulin, &c. No attempt was made to construct a rait.
