CORRESPONDENCE.
To the Editou of the ' Evening Mail. Sik — You are no doubt aware that- a \ great maay boys meet to play nearly | every night in the Botanical Garden i Reserve, nnd if that was all they did i there I should be the last to interfere / wilh them, but I am Borry to say that : among them there are a few who are in | the habit of using the vilest languoge, aud that so frequently that it hf\B j beoome a nuisance to the neighborhood and a public disgrace. I hopo that by calling attention to the fact the Inspector of Police may be induced to instruct one of his cifictrs to visit the ground occasionally and endeavor to put a stop to so disgraceful a practice, which 1 believe may be done by making tin example of one or two of those who are old enough to know belter. I tluuk the police might also be instructed to prevent the wanton destruction of the trees which if left alone would be an ornament to the pround. $piv I am, &c , ■]■■/ , Paterfamilias.
