THE INANGAHUA REEFS.

The Herald gives the following table showing the amount of gold produced by, and the number of tons of stone crushed at the various mines in the Inangahua during the year 1874: —

The above table in some few instances furnishes only the approximate number of tons crushed, as in some cases no ac* count of exact quantities was kept. Occasionally the gold yield is of retorted parcels, but the variation would be very trifling, certainly not more than one per centum. Dividends amounting to £11,125 were declared in five quartz mining companies in the Inangahua during the year 1874. The names of the companies and amount^of dividends are as follows: — Wealth of Nations, 13s per share, £4225; Fiery Cross, sa, £3000; Golden Fleece, 2s, £2400; Invincible, 15d, £750; Caledonians, 3s, £750.
