HORTICULTURAL SHOW.

After an inspection of the flowers, fruits, and vegetables, prior to the opening of the Provincial Hall to the public, we feel fully justified in pronouncing the Nelson Horticultural Society's spring show a decided success. The arrangement of the exhibits was not completed when we left the Hall, and we have therefore been unable to ascertain the names of any of the exhibitors, and consequently must confine our remarks to-day to the general appearance of (he room. On each side of the Hall is a long table, covered with plants in pots in bloom, and cut roses in stands, and in the centre is another long table, which may be almost said io groan under the weight of the hand bouquets and collections of flowers in stands with which it is laden. The Grand Jury room is devoted to fruits and vegetables, and k fragrant with the ecent of the numerous diahes of atrawberries that are displayed. The total number of exhibitors is 56, The judges are Messrs Hastilow and M'Coig, whoee decisions gave such general satisfaction last year. The Hall will be open this evening fron seven until nine, and arrangements have been made for instrumental music during that time, when a large number of visitors are expected. We shall to-morrow publish the prize list, and refer to the exhibits more in detail.
