ADELAIDE.
A motion has been carried for a preliminary survey of the line of railway from Adelaide to effect, a junction with the Victoria line. Wheat is steady at 5s lOd, but none is offering. Forrest, tbe explorer, has arrived at the Peak Station. It is proposed to give him a public banquet. The Adelaide Government will place boats at tije crossing places on rivers en route to the Palmer goldfieids. HOBART TOWN. The American scientific expedition fail's in a week for New Zealand, and thence to the Chatham Islands. .
