In consequence of the departure of the Albion, the lecture by Mr Joseph Waterhouse, advertised for this evening, will not be given. It will be seen by advertisement tbat tbe opening night of the Loyals Combination Troupe of Varieties is postponed until the arrival of the steamer Wellington. Inland Communication Committee. — A meeting of the members of this Committee was held on Saturday night, when the proposals of the Government with regard to the Nelson and West Coast railway were fully dißcussed. Ultimately, it was decided to adjourn until this evening, when resolutions will be prepared to bo submitted to the public meeting to be held to-mor-row night. A full attendance of members is requested thia evening. Public Meeting.— A publio meeting for the purpose of considering the General Government proposal relative to the Nelson and West Coast Railway will be held at the Provincial Hall to-morrow evening. It ia hoped that the country people as well as those of the town will attend, and that the members of the Provincial Council from all parts will be present, and ao give additional weight to the resolutions that we bave no doubt will be unanimously agreed to. Stoke Public Hall.— Our Waimea readers are reminded of tbe entertainment to be given this evening at Stoke. For the convenience of those residents in town who purpoae attending, a coach will leave Mr Stanton's corner at halfpast six.
