The German residents have sent a congratulatory telegram to Bismarck on his recent escape from assassination, Everest, branch manager of the Baok of Victoria, has been arrested for forgery. His defalcations are said to be £2,000. John Cook has been sentenced to death for the murder of James Dixon at Benufort. In the seduction action Eady v. Rowe, damages of £250 wore awarded.
