Chbistchukch, July 11. At a meeting of the Board of Governors of the Canterbury College, Mr Ingles moved that tho Museum be opened for three hours on Christmas Day and Good Friday. The motion, which was strongly opposed by tbe church party, was ultimately withdrawn. The Canterbury Chamber of Commerce have requested Mr Montgomery, M.H.R., to introduce anew Insolvency Bill into the Assembly, the main features of which are identical with the one thrown out in the last session. Auckland, July 11. Mr Backland reports fat cattle, shipborne, 28a to 32s 6d per lOOlbs; inferior ewes, 6s 6d to 14s ; merino wethers, 5s 6d to 6s 3d; fat sheep, 56 per ponnd. * Mr Binney reports the grain market dull; oats, 5s 31 ; wheat, 6s 3d to 6s 4d; flour, £14; barley, 63; butter, Is 3d; cheese, 8d ; hams and bacon, lOd to lid; tnait, 83 6d ; potatoes, £6 10a.
