PARLIAMENTARY.
Wellington, July 8. In the House of Representatives, tbe Government agreed, npon the authority of a resolution of the House, to produce aU telegrams and correspondence relating to charges made against Judge Chapman in the telegrams published in Otago in the Daily Times. The following Bills were read the first time : — Regulation of Mines Bill ; Qualification of Electors Bill ; Municipal Reserves Bill ; Electric Telegraph Amendment Bill (which deals with the system of producing telegrams io Courts of Justice); and the Post-office Savings Banks Amendment Bill. An address to ber Majesty, conveying congratulations on the marriage of the Duke of Edinburgh, and assurances of loyalty to her throne and person, was moved by the Premier and agreed to. Upon Mr. Curtis moving for tbe House going into committee to-morrow to consider his Loan Bill, Mr. Yogel hoped that tha House would not allow any bill of that kind to go to the second reading before tbe Financial Statement was brought down, which would be in not more than ten days. The House then adjourned. It is rumoured that Mr. Thomas Boseell will be called to the Upper House, and entrusted with the portfolio of the Postmaster-General.
