A funny Honolulu correspondent writes the following in reference to the Macgregor's first visit to that Kingdom: — The initial vessel of the new line between San Francisco and the colonies arrived this morning, after a passage of twenty-four days from Sydney. The vessel is a fioe-looking one, for an Englishman, and there ib just room enough in our harbor for her to turn round. This canuot be eaid of the width or breadth of our streets, for her passengers fill the town and overflow into the country. This however is due in a great measure to tho size of their shoes, and if they could only be prevailed upon to come ashore and do as we do — go barefoot — it would be a great convenience.
