[Cablegrams.] London, February 2. There has been a struggle between Bismarck and tho Ultramontanes, and it is increasing in bitterness. Germany has warned France and Belgium of their duty to repress the attacks of the Ultramontane?, whether through the press or clergy, Tbe following are the members of the Ministry elected : — Messrs Gladstone, Cardwell, Stanafelt, Lowe Childers, Harcourt, and Hartington. They were defeated at New Radnor. Members elected to the present time 106 Liberals, and 136 Conservatives. Cape Coast Castle Dews states that on the 19th January the Ashantee king sent the German missionary to treat with General Wolseley for peace. EleVen hundred seamen and marines are within a day's march of Cooroassie. The 23rd. Regiment were not disembarked, the native carriers baying deserted; The Macgregor has left California witb the English and American mails. February 5. The King of the Ashantees has agreed to pay £200,000 to the British Government. The troops stop a short distance from the capital. M'Mahon in addressing the French •merchants, asked for tbeir full confidence in the stability of the Government, and expressed his intention to maintain it.
