The • Grey River Argus ' in commenting upon the Superintendent's speech says:— -There iB no reason whatever to doubt that the loan can be raised, if only the Council is fairly unanimous upon the subject, and that the works to whioh it is to be applied are calculated to be of a reproductive character. Of course, if the .Council should squabble over the proposal to borrow, tbe chances of being able to borrow at all will be very much reduced, as it is hardly likely that the Asßembly-wwbich is very jealous of Provincial borrowing in any shape — | will view the Loan Bill with favor. I And we would advise the members of tbe Council not to cavil abput the matter unless tbey deßire to see the Province kept perpetually fo the back ground.
