A special meeting of the Board was held lnst night for the purpose of opening tenders for the City Prainage, Contract No 1 . Members preseut: Messrs Fell (chairman), D. Burns, Dodson, Thompson, R. 33urn, and Jennings. The following tenders i^ere opened — Nnmes of Contractors. Amounts. W. Dement ... £629 15 0 Walton and Murray 416 9 0 M Vicar, John ... 691 O 0 Bleechef, fSsfcioijne, Taylor 5J2 0 \d Proposed by Mr D. Bums, and seconded by JS/Jli* Podson, ',' That Messrs Walton and j^urray'fi t.eader be accepted. Contract to be completed ip thirteen weeks." Tem&arp to bo advertised for iron work, f,or map-|aiQ)p covers, grates, &c. Tenders to be sent i,a by |,he 20th February (Contract, No 2). The Board then adjourned until Friday tho Gib. at 7 o'clock.
