CITY ELECTION.

The nomination of candidates for the representation of the representation of tha City in the Provincial Council took place to-day. We must holdover our report of the proceedings until tomorrow, and give to-day only the result, which waa as follows :—

There being a tie between Messrs A. Adams and Greenfield, another shew of hands was called for, and the result was Adams 28, Greenfield 25. Messrs Pitt, Bout, Livestam, and A. Adams were declared elected. A poll was demanded.
