CORR ES P ONDENCE.
*»* We are desirous of affording every reasonable facility for the discussion of publio subjects; but it must be understood that we are in no way responsible for the opinions expressed by correspondents. To the Editor Of thb Nklson Evening Mail. ,'Sik-— I was pleased to see your article on the forthcoming Nelson Exhibition of local industry, the first ever held in . tbe Province, and I waa still more pleased when I saw that the experiments on coal which were proposed to be conducted in Wellington, will now be undertaken by local talent- As the exhibition is strictly provincial, that talent should be fostered wherever practicable. Dr. Tatton's fame as a competent analyst is so well known here and elsewhere, throughout the colonies, that we may be sure of success. on that subject. It is to be hoped that others in their different capacities will follow this example, and show to the world that the inhabitants of Sleeepy Hollow are, when called upon, perfectly capable of distinguishing themselves in all important matters of local industry.
