Friday July 25. I Present: all the members except. Mr Hooper. J The question of appointing a fresh Collector of R-ites and nspector of Nuisances was, on the motion of Mr Robert Burn, again postponed. I The Committee appointed at the last meeting of the Board to reviso the annual i report, through Mr Percy, its Chairman, recommended the adoption of the report as j altered. On the motion of Mr Fell, it was resolved, That the whole of the correspondence between his Honor the Superintendent and the Board relative to tho sewage question be published. The Surveyor naked, on behalf of Mr j Stavert, that the Board should authorise the lowering of the footpaths on the aide o,f the road in Bronte-street,uear Mr Stavert'a residence. Agreed to. A letter from Mr Watkins was read declining to reduce the rate of interest charged by the Bank of New Zealand upon ! the overdraft. ! The footpath on part of the east side of J Trafalgar-Btreet was ordered to ba gravelled. A letter was read from Mr Strineer claiming an extra foot by the side of hin property in the Waimea-road, to which extent he asserted he was encroached upon by the road. This and other questions raised by bis letter were referred to the Surveyor for arrangement. Cheques were signed for £62 12s 5d , and the Board adjourned to Monday next, the 28th instant, at 11.30 a.m.
