Mutual Improvement Class. — There was a strong muster of ibe memhers of this clats luet ui^ht, the Rev. Mr Buddie, the president, in the chair. The meeting opened with prayer, after which Mr Buihwaile read a capital paper on " Public speaking and reading." Nrxt Friday evening will be devoted to readings and recitations.
Board ov Works, — The ratepayers are reminded lhat iho election 1 * ot lour members of the Board to fill the vacancies occasioned by the retirement of Meeara Fell, Burn, Dodson, and Webb, who however are eligible for re-election, will take place on Monday next, at noon. Should a poll be demanded, it will be held on the following day, between the hours of teu and four.
