Perseverance Company. — The adjourned general meeting of shareholders will be held this evening at half-past seven. The Hon. N. Edwards and Messrs O. Curtis, and A. J. Nelson Skylarks.— At a late meeting of the Melbourne Acclimatization Society it was announced that since the last meeting 100 Euglish skylarks had been liberated The 'birds were recently caught and brought over by. Mr Bills from Nelson, New Zealand,' where the skylark is thoroughly acclimatised and numerous. As they were in; splendid condition and plumage, it is .hoped they will succeed equally well here.
