RIFLE SHOOTING.
Arrangements having been made for a match between ten of the Nelson City Rifles and a like number of the Dunedin Artillery, at 200, 400, and 500 yards, five shots at each range, tho former ' fired on Friday last with the following result : —
The Dunedin men have not yet fired. On the same day the firing took place for the Company's medal, which is to become the absolute property of the individual who makes the highest score three times in succession or four times at intervals. Nineteen members competed. The following are all the scores made over 30 : —
