Agricultural /Hall, Richmond. — Dr Carr, tbe popular lecturer, and able demonstrator of mesmerism, will give his' second and laafc seance to-morrow evening. The Hadda, with a cargo of sugar consigned to Messrs Buxton & Co. and Mr H. Davis, is shortly expected from the Mauritius. Spurious Coin. — We have been requested to warn the public that a quantity of spurious coin consistingprincipally of sixpences are now in circulation in Nelson. The stamp is a perfect imitation of tbe genuine article, but the spurious coin is easily detected by its greasy feel. Parish of Christ Chukch. — A meeting of the parisboners of Christ Church •will be held at the Bishop's Schoolroom at seven o'clock this evening, when a full attendance is required, as there is business of considerable importance to be transacted. Oddfellows Hall. — Profesor Louis gave another of his miscellaneous entertainments at tbe Oddfellows Hall last night, but tbe audience was not a crowded one. He performs again to-morrow evening when he will shoot an arrow at an apple on a boy's head and perform various other tricks. The Caeandinis.— We were glad feo see a full house at the Masonic Hall last night, when the Carandini Company gave another of their delightful concerts. Were we to attempt to dilate on all the gems of tbe evening we should have to refer to almost every item on the programme, but special mention must be made of the selections from " Maritana," -which -were given with a spirit that was perhaps in some degree owing to the large and appreciative audience, and " The Wind and the Harp," a duett by the sisters Roaina and Fannie, which was received with a rapturous encore. In reply, the young ladies sang " Tel Eammenti," a duett which, we believe, is perfectly new in Nelson, and proved to be one of the most charming compositions to which we ever listened. " Charlie is jmy Darling," ty Madame Carandioi, and the ever acceptable " Kathleen Mavourneen," by Miss Fannie, fairly brought down the house, and indeed, the whole programme was so well received that it is difficult to say which portion of it was most highly approved of. Mr Gordon, too, was in excellent voice, and taking it as a whole, it was quite clear that the entertainment of last * night was the mo6t successful that has yet been given. To-night, there are to be selections from "II Trovatorej" the grand duett from "Norma," "II Bacio," by Miss Rosina, "The Lady of the Lea," by Miss Fannie, and several other most popular songs and concerted pieces.
