This Day. A fine fresh breeze, and not so much glare as there has been of late, made the day a pleasant one for shooting. The first event was the Ali. Comers' Match. Ranges, 500 and 600 yards. Five shots at each range. Target, 6ft x 6ft; centre, 4ft; bull's eye, 2ft. Bona fide large bore rifles or carbines to receive two points at 600 yards, and three points at 600 yards, if brought into competition with small bore rifles or carbines. Entrance fee, 'ss. First prize, £8 and one half entrance fees; second, £5 and one fourth entrance fees; third, £3 and one fourth entrance fees; fifth, sixth, sevtnth, eighth, ninth; and tenth prizes, £1 each.
