We have great pleasure ia publishing the following letter which was received by his Honor the Superintendent, by the Wellington yesterday : — Colonial Secretary's Office, Wellington, ; December 14, 1872. • His Honor the Superintendent, Nelson. Sib, — I have the honor to forward for your information as to the present position of the Kelson and Foxhill Railway, a report recently received irom Mr Car rut hers 'relative thereto, and to state that it is the intention of the Government to comply with Mr Carruthers' suggestion to press on the plans for the length from 6th mile to Foxhill, and thereon to. call for tenders with the least possible delay.
