Mesmerism. — Dr Carr intends giving one of his celebrated seances at the Assembly Room, this evening. Nelson Regatta. — The regatta, which is to be held on Boxing Day, although not decided npon until rather late in the day, promises 'to paßs off succeesfully. A close contest is expected in the yacht race, and several of the other events, it i 3 said, wiil not be won -without a hard struggle. Conoekt — Mrs Palmer has issued a very attractive programme of a concert she purposes giviog at the Assembly Room to-morrow evening, when she will receive valuable assistance from several ladies and j gentlemen. The last concert given by ! Mrs Palmer was so marked a success that there exists little doubt of her securing a crowded audience to-morrow. Imtekp^ovincial Cricket Match.-— A letter has been received from Mr Vincent, the secaetary of the Wellington Cricket Club, stating that all arrangements have been cpribpleted and* that a Wellington eleven will come over here about Christmas and play a match with Nelson on Victory Square, on the 27th inst. The Nelson eleven will be a very strong one, though one or two places are yet unfilled, and a really good match may be looked for.
