CORRESPONDENCE.
*** We are desirous of affording- every reasonable facility for the discussion of public subjects; but it must be understood that we are in no way responsible for the opinions expressed by correspondents. To the Editor of the Nelson Evening Mail. Sir, — Could you inform me whether our annual regatta is likely to take place this jear ? The committee appear to have had two or three meetings, but beyond this I think nothing has been done. It is a great pity that the regatta should drop through for the lack of a little energy, and if tbe committee stir themselves the public will come forward liberally with their subscriptions. I am, &c., Aqua.
