Pbovincial Executive. — We understand ihat Mr. Sbepbard has sent in bis resignation of the office of Provincial Treasurer. Nelson and West Coast Railway. — A meeting in connection with this matter has been called by circular, and will be held this evening, at 7 o'clock. Oddfellows' Hall. —An entertainment for the benefit of Miss Emily Neilson ■will be given at the Oddfellows' Hall this evening, when Mr. Bromley and Miss Neilson will receive the assistance of several Nelson amateurs. The performance will close with the farce of Betsy Baker. The Rev. Mr Flavell, says the Wesiport Times, is to take charge of the Reefton district from the first week in January. In Christchurch, a few days ago, £200 even was offered, but refused, that Mr Webb's Revoke colt would beat Mr Robinson's Papapa in next "year's Derby.
