On this occasion PIX DOUBLE-ACTION PE3STRAL FIXE BREECH-LOADING RE VOLYEKS will be given to be competed for as under :-— By No. 1, City Rifles - - 2 Revolvers. Waimea West Hiii.es - 2 „ Cadets - - - - 2 „ The first two Companies will fire at ranges of 200, 400, and 500 yards; five shots at each range; target, 6it by 4ft at 200 yards; 6ft by 6ft at 400 and 500 yards. Any position (except first range in each case, which sball be standing position), without artifici il rest. The Cadets will fire at ranges of 100, 150, and 200 yards; target, 6ft by 4ft.; any position. The Rules and Regulations adopted for the last General Government Prize Competition in other respects to be strictly adhered to. No prize will be given to any person who does not score 30 points. No person vdll be allowed to com pet 3 for these prizes whose name is not on the present roll. No person will be entitled to one of these prizes who has already won a Provincial Government Prize Revolver. The Firing for the Revolvers will take place on the respective practi e-grounds of each Company, commencing at Nine o'clock, a.m. One of Henry's REPEATING RIFLES will he gtven as a CHAMPION PRIZE, and may be shot for by F« »UK from EACH COMPANY, who ' score the highest number' of points when com- ' peting for Prize Revolvers, and by the winners of previous prizes given by the Provincial Government, whose names are on the present roll. j The FIRING for the CHAMPIONSHIP will take place on the CiTY SHOOTING-GROUND, on THURSDAY, the 12th day of December, under the superintendence of the Adjutant. Ranges, 400, 500, and 600 yards ; target, 61c by 6ft.
