Beetroot Sugak. — Curiosity was aroused the other day, says (he Australasian, by the exhibition, in the window of the company's offices in Collins-street, of several samples of sugar manufactured at the works of the Victorian Beetroot Sugar Company, from beet grown in this colony. The sugar, valued at about £31 10a. to £33 103. per ton, is of a grey color, very strong, and grainy, similar to that made formerly iv the West Idies, and ranks as a counter. A sample of crystallised sugar, worth about £37, was also shown.
