Friday, September 6. Present: All the members except Mr. Dobson. The Surveyor was instructed to place a lamp post at the end of Vanguard-street. ; The following tenders were received for the supply of kerosene: — H. Hounsell, 35.; W. Patterson, 2s. lid. The latter tender was accepted. The assessment warrant was signed' for blocks C. and D. A letter was received from several residents at the lower end of the Port-road complainin? of the Btate of the road in the Washington Valley Culting. Ordered to be gravelled during the next summer. Several complaints were received relative to the damage done to the roads and water tables by stray cattle. The Surveyor was instructed to forward them to the Deputy-Superintendent, the Board haying no power to deal with the matter. The Board then adjourned until Friday, the 20th instant.
